Hello Cobourg Cycling Members!
As mentioned at Tuesday night's time trial, I am looking for volunteers to help out at the YMCA Kids' Duathlon on Friday, August 22. This is a swim/run event for children ages 3-13, with a focus on participation, challenge, fun, and completion. The event runs 6-7:30pm... I'll be looking for assistance beginning at 5:30pm. If you have any questions / would be interested in volunteering, please contact me directly - jesslfraser@hotmail.com.
The Peterborough citizens road race / TT is happening again this year on Aug 16-17. This would be a great opportunity for the Cobourg Club to put up a team and do the event. If you would like more info about the Peterborough event check-out ProRace.ca web site for the Aug. event. If interested contact Peter, and good racing.

Hey Gang,
Hope you're all well!
Many of you are familiar with the Kids Duathlon / Triathlon events I have hosted in the past. I have decided to put on another Kids Duathlon (swimming and running) event again this year in conjunction with the YMCA.
It will take place on Friday August 22nd - at 6pm (yes, evening this year). This is the night before the Multisport/HSBC triathlon weekend (but has nothing to to with Multisport/HSBC). The event relies heavily on volunteers as little people need clear direction on the course! So... I'm recruiting! At this point, I'm just looking to know if you (and/or friends/family) would be able to volunteer. If so, let me know (jesslfraser@hotmail.com) and mark your calendar.
Thanks for your consideration!
Jess

Hi All
As many of you know, the Cobourg Triathlon is happening here on August 11th and 12th. More info can be found at www.multisportcanada.com
There is often interest in doing team events... If any of you would be interested in doing the cycling component for a local team, I could put you in touch with a swimmer and runner.
Let me know!
Jess
Come on out and cheer on the cyclists!
There will be a criterium race on Sunday July 22, 2007 in the Coca-Cola Industrial Park (East Cobourg). Races start at 9:30 (beginner), 10:30 (sport) and noon (open) and will last 45 minutes - 1.5 hours each. Should be very spectator friendly, as it is on a 1.4km loop. A few Cobourg Cycling Club members will be racing. (Only OCA members are permitted).
Hope to see some of you there!
Just a reminder that Phil is leading a group ride this Sunday, June 24th. Meet in front of Victoria Hall in Cobourg for a pleasant 40-60km
Hello Cobourg Cycling Club Members;
We are currently in the process of ordering a few Cyling Jersey's (Louis Garneau yellow, red and blue CCC - you've probably seen them - can't miss them!) The price has increased, and will be approximately $75. If you are interested in purchasing one / ordering one, please let David Naish know ASAP
Jessica is running (through the YMCA) a kids duathlon (swimming and runnning only given the logistics of a cycling component) and she is looking for participants (children ages 3-13) and volunteers (yourselves!) Saturday, June 23 from 8:30am - 10:30am. Attached is the brochure with details. Please email Jessica with your phone number if you are able to volunteer, and I will get back to you the week of the event.
