CCC Policies and Guidelines

The Cobourg Cycling Club — a locally-based, volunteer-run, non-profit organization affiliated with the Ontario Cycling Association. We follow all policy guidelines from OC with the goal of providing a professional and well organized club.

CCC Policies and By-Laws

By registering and accepting membership with the Cobourg Cycling Club you have agreed to the Club`s policies and procedures

The Cobourg Cycling Club expects all members to follow the Code of Conduct to ensure an environment of mutual respect and friendship for all members.

The Cobourg Cycling Club takes concussive injuries very seriously and the club has implemented a concise protocol for return to sport.

The CCC expects its members to honor club tradition with an attitude and behavior that demonstrates both positive cycling values and respect for other members and their property, including the general public,

The Cobourg Cycling Club (CCC) provides both “drop” and “no drop” rides. On a “drop ride”, the group would not slow down or stop to accommodate a rider that is unable to keep up. On a “no drop ride” ride leaders will ensure all riders are escorted back to the ride start area.

The Cobourg Cycling Club promotes and encourages inclusive opportunities to our cycling community. 

The Cobourg Cycling Club (CCC) recognizes individuals’ rights to privacy with respect to their personal information. This Policy describes the way that the CCC collects, uses, safeguards, discloses, and disposes of Personal Information.

The Cobourg Cycling Club (CCC) understands that screening personnel and volunteers is a vital part of providing a safe sporting environment and has become a common practice among sport organizations that provide programs and services to the community.

The Cobourg Cycling Club (CCC) is committed to safety and will implement reasonable practices to ensure the safety of those participating in CCC rides. Rides may be cancelled due to inclement weather, this policy details the CCC`s weather protocols.

Respect for the rules of the road are very important on all CCC rides. The CCC has has developed this Risk Management Plan to document how CCC rides are to be managed to reduce risks associated with cycling activities. Club members will learn the importance of being responsible for each others safety.

Only pedal-assist Class 1 e-bikes will be permitted for use during CCC events and/or group rides.

The Cobourg Cycling Club is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Ontario Cycling Association. The CCC is  volunteer run and operates under the club By-Laws. 

Cycle Club App

 Members are required to  Pre-Register for club rides on the Cycleclub App. 

         The CCC is using the Cycle Club app to manage our club rides.
 

  • Download the Cycle Club App from the App store

  • If you are new to the Cycle  Club App, follow the steps to create your profile. Remember to use the same e-mail and name used with your CCN registration information. If you already have an existing account just sign in. If you are signing in from your computer go to www.cycleclubapp.com.

  • Search for and select Cobourg Cycling Club.

  • Go to EVENTS and select the event or ride you’d like to attend. Select the calendar icon in top right corner and check GOING. If you cannot attend a ride, it is important that you cancel so the Ride Leader is aware of who is attending the ride. If for any reason the ride is cancelled due to weather or the event details change it will be updated in the Cycle Club app one hour prior to the start time of the ride. Ride departure times and locations will be included in the event details.
